Location: Sutton Coldfield
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9 AM – 2 PM
Salary: £50,000 per annum (State School Term Times)
Start Date: Immediate
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced special needs teacher to provide one-on-one instruction for a Year One child with autism in a home setting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in special education and a passion for supporting children with diverse learning needs.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans tailored to the individual needs of the child.
- Use appropriate teaching strategies to enhance learning and communication skills.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Monitor and assess the child’s progress and adapt teaching methods as necessary.
- Collaborate with parents and, if applicable, other professionals to ensure a holistic approach to the child’s education.
Qualifications:
- Qualified teacher status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Experience working with children with autism or special educational needs.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to make a difference in the child’s education.
